Note: For models with serial number 8900 and above. If you have a serial number below 8900, contact us.
As shipped from the factory, the SG-2020 domestic version is capable of general coverage receive (1.8 - 30 MHz), and will transmit on the U.S. ham bands only.  To enable the unit to transmit outside the ham bands for MARS, CAP, and EMERGENCY marine use, it is necessary to perform the following modification: 

1.  Remove the 3 screws on the bottom of the radio and slide the cover off.

2.  Locate and remove 2-pin black jumper located on top outside edge of PCB.

3. Replace cover.
